| The easy writing style, realistic characters and powerful story makes "The Risky Way Home" a very good book indeed. I love Casey. She is a simple, grass-roots young lady. She has strength and integrity, attributes women aspire. You have certainly tacked a difficult storyline where there is abuse within a family and where a family is fractured, but you have been very successful in presenting what love is and what it is not - a very much needed message for today. | |

| I loved this book. The diary part was incredible. It made it so easy to understand how someone could get trapped in that situation. I was up until 1am for two nights with my heart pounding. Good job! | |

| I spent all last evening reading "The Risky Way Home." It kept me up until 2:00am! I thought I could finish it sooner but time just flew by. I really didn't want to put it down. I just had to see what Casey was in for next! I love how the Christian themes were interwoven throughout the story. It was a very interesting book and very well written. | |

| No this is not a war novel or a grittily realistic teen adventure. It's a romance of a very different kind. Most romances are as light and frothy as lemonade poured on icecream. Occasionally there's an exception when it seems like sipping a great latte. But Risky Way Home is neither of these. It has all the complexity and subtlety of a fine wine. It's the sort of book that in retrospect I should have read with a bottle of the best vintage some crusty bread and a fabulous cheese. Yes it was one of those rare reading experiences superbly satisfying. I can't wait for the sequel. | |
